26 tunnin matakustaminen meni oikein mukavasti. Koneen elokuvavalikoimassa oli Pelastakaa Ferris Bueller. Mahtavaa!
Ensimmäinen päivä käytettiin heti tehokkaasti hyväksi, vaikka se ei kiireiseltä tuntunutkaan. Kävelimme lähes puolet Brodwaystä, näimme WTC:n rauniot, ajoimme lautalla State Islandille ja kävimme Empire State Buildingissa. Ja silti ehdimme istua muutamissa pubeissa hyvän aikaa.

26 hour travel went well. There was even Ferris Bueller's Day Off in movie selection at plane. Excellent.
First day was very active and we walked almost half of the Broadway and saw WTC ruins took ferry to State Island and went to top of the Empire state building.

Valmisteluja - Preparations

Matkan valmistelut on hyvällä mallillaan.
New Yorkiin saavutaan hieman ennen puolta yötä torstaina 29.10. ja Village Inn Hostellista on sängyt varattuna dormista neljäksi ensimmäiseksi yöksi. Yöpyminen kustantaa $32 per pää per yö.
Halloween juhlinta (esim. New York's Village Halloween Parade) on lauantaina, joten sunnuntai jää krapulapäiväksi ennen kuin maanantaina jatketaan matkaa.

Preparations for trip are on the way.
We arrive in New York just before midnight at thursday 29.10. and we have beds reserved from Village Inn Hostell for first four nights.
Halloween party (e.g. New York's Village Halloween Parade) is on saturday, so we get one day for hangover before heading on in monday.
